PDM Product Data Management

The PDM Data Base provides for on-line access to product data and images or sketches, drawings, bills of material, routings, engineering change notices, recipes and dye formulas for chemical, color or other formulations. Product and machine specifications, QC tests and test history are also available in the PDM data base by SKU, serial number, lot, plastic/paper/fabric rolls and plastic films or sheets.  PDM can be integrated with PLM from third party software vendor.

Product Design and Development

is linked to the PDM data base, Supply Chain Management, Subcontractors, Planning and Manufacturing to ensure speed to market.

Product Configurator

The Product Configurator allows for the selection of product features and product options based on engineering and customer product specifications integrated with the PDM data base.

Customer Order Management

Customer Order Management is integrated with on-line sales order processing, forecasting, ERP, inventory control, purchasing, warehouse management and goods return authorization. This module provides full order visibility for Customer Services and it supports on-line order booking, picking, packing, shipping and invoicing. A Sales Portal provides for item selection supported by catalog product images, shopping cart and automatic checking of credit and payment collection. The integration of third party CRM software with JOMAR's Customer Order Management and Mobile Software supports the sales force with sales by customer, product pricing, order and shipping status, customer invoicing and goods return information.

Inventory Control

Inventory Control provides for on-line 'Availability Check' by SKU, lot, assemblies, kits, chemical containers (i.e. tote, drum, pail and bags with serialization of containers), carton, shipping containers, pallets and plastic, paper or fabric roll, steel coil (by heat number), wire spools and cables by specifications and units by serial number. Multiple units of measure are provided for length, weight and volume including conversion from metric to imperial measures. Inventory is integrated with MRP, purchasing and customer services. The cost of inventory is posted to the general ledger and inventory cost analysis including inventory valuation can be performed as required.

Purchasing

Purchasing provides for on-line purchase order processing and re-order reporting based on MRP – Material Requirements Planning runs complemented with information from the powerful Visual Schedule Board. Buyers manage the actual P.O. releases based on the MRP re-order report and for supply items that are part of Purchase Requisition processing.

Warehouse management

Warehouse management is supported by RFID, a Bin Locator system and R.F. picking lists with touch-screens and special packaging software functions for high-rise picking racks integrated with the distribution release for picking and packing large volume shipments to chain stores, customers and warehouses or regional distribution centers.

Automotive Release Processing

The Automotive Release is supported by EDI and tracking of all inbound and outbound material movements. Cumulative ordered, shipped and received quantities are tracked along with raw material and fabrication authorizations as part of the planning process that extends throughout the supply chain.  Shipping schedules for Just-In-Time receipts are generated for vendors utilizing Workflow Management with e-mail notification and event-driven action messages.

Data Collection

Data Collection using R.F. third party software includes touch-screens and hand-held (wireless) devices for scanning material and goods to improve the flow of work and material at subcontractors in-house manufacturing facilities and warehouse locations in distribution centers. Barcoded documents are used for scanning and tracking from raw material to the finished product in single plants and across vertically integrated plants, warehouse locations and distribution centers.

Traceability

Complete tracking is provided from raw material to the finished product by SKU, lot, serial number, roll goods, plastic films and sheets to semi-finished and finished product. Tracking is also available for in-transit shipments from suppliers and subcontractors to manufacturing plants and across warehouse locations.  Specific data from all these areas is retained for Traceability.

Product and Machine Specifications

Product and machine specifications are user defined and they are linked to the bill of material line items.

Quality Control Specifications and Tests

QC Specs and Tests are available with QC test history by SKU, lot, serial number plastic rolls/films/sheets and steel coil (heat number) for raw materials and semi-finished or finished products.

Costing and Cost Simulation

Costing data is available by product, process and plant. The on-line cost roll-up is designed for processing cost data across a single plant and vertically integrated plants from raw material to semi-finished and end products. Job or contract costing and distribution or supply chain cost analysis are optional.
