JOMAR Enterprise +ebusiness software JOMAR's Smart Meter Software and CIS – MDM/R are integrated with the
JOMAR Utility Management System and third party CIS, OMS and GIS.

Operational Data Store & CIS Integration

JOMAR is expanding its Utility Management Software (UMS) with the Operational Data Store (ODS) to support automated Smart Meter deployments by public and private sector utilities.

JOMAR is also developing its CIS – Customer Information System and Customer Internet Billing.

Smart Meters transmit ‘meter reads’ to transmission towers that in turn transmit the meter data to the RNI – Regional Network Interface located on the Advanced Meter Control computer at the LDC site.

SMS accesses the RNI – Regional Network Integration (AMI) to update its ‘Operational Data Store’ in real-time and to monitor Alerts, provide Verification of meter outages and to obtain ‘meter reads’ for the CIS – Customer Information System.

SMS also provides e-mail and action messages to CIS and OMS – Outage Management System for immediate action to repair Smart Meters using GIS locations.

Operational Data Store

JOMAR's ODS and its associated business logic provide the real-time information hub with online access to the RNI for monitoring, reporting and analysis of the information flow using dashboards.

ODS also provides event triggered e-mail, action messages, automatic work order generation and document distribution integrated with CIS and OMS to instantly alert operational staff to check and repair failed meters.

CIS

JOMAR’s Customer Information System will receive ‘meter reads’ from the MDM/R that can be formatted in rating periods to support TOU, CPP and RPP rate structures.

JOMAR’s CIS – Customer Internet Billing software module will include a series of templates that are web- based to allow Utility customers to inquire and make payments via the internet using Smartphones, iPhones  and the BlackBerry® Storm. CIS templates are configurable and JOMAR supplied APIs can be used to integrate the application with CIS modules of third party vendors.

Multiplatform Technology & Open Architecture

JOMAR’s ODS and the Utility Management Software can be deployed on the following platforms: Linux/Unix – Oracle and DB2, Microsoft Windows – SQL Server and IBM iSeries – DB2. The multiplatform technology of JOMAR provides Utilities, small and large, with the option to choose the platform and the appropriate data base for the high volume transaction processing of their automated meter reading information flow.

The UMS Java based components allow the LDC to change platform technologies for mergers or acquisitions without having to change JOMAR’s application software. This eliminates costly upgrades, facilitates consolidation of IT infrastructure without business disruptions and protects the LDC’s long term IT investment.
